  • Yes, it's been awhile + Athiests strike again.

OK, im back. It has been a busy time of year and I have been remis in my blogger duties. I am going to try and keep up with this thing a bit better in the coming year so stay tuned.

The following is just another example of the attack on christianity in this country. It seems to me that these FFRF people are not atheists, but rather God haters. They hate everything godly and holy yet say they dont believe in God. I say, "How can you hate something that you don't believe in?"

Atheists Challenge Christmas at Wisconsin Capitol

Winter Solstice sign posted next to Christmas tree, menorah.

The Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF), which is famous for filing lawsuits contesting religious symbols on public property, has decided to add a symbol of its own to a display at the Wisconsin Capitol in Madison.

FFRF posted a sign next to the city’s Christmas tree and menorah, saying, in part: “At this season of the Winter Solstice, may reason prevail.”

Bruce Hausknecht, judicial analyst for Focus on the Family Action, said the move misses the point. >more>

  • Wayniac's Outrage: "Papers Please"

You think your drivers license or SS# is all the ID you need? Not anymore. The "REAL-ID" act is coming to a state near you. In fact if it doesn’t come to your state, your in trouble.

"With the passing of the bill, states will have to abide by federal standards for providing driver's licenses and I.D. cards to citizens. States will also have to link their citizen databases to federal systems in order obtain funding for the program.

Driver's licenses issued by states not fulfilling federal requirements will not be accepted by any federal agency. What does that matter? Here are a few scenarios that may occur if your state were to not fulfill the new federal obligations:..."

This definitely qualifies as an outrage, another example of government control. Where does it end? When do we become free? Not like this, this is just another step toward fascism people. WAKE UP AMERICA!

    Benjamin Franklin once said,
"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
Well that was over 200 years ago, and look at us now. We are willing to give the government more and more power over our lives, sacrificing our liberty at the altar of safety. NO THANKS. An all powerful government that knows my every move and can scrutinize it at will may bring a small amount of security but tramples on freedom and liberty.
  • Christian Libertarian. Huh?!

I found this little article online not long ago. Wow, finally someone who can express his love of God and his love of Liberty in the same breath.

I have been saying for years, as a Christian Libertarian, that you cannot legislate morality. A “Christian” government will not necessarily be better or worse that any other. Christianity is all about individual choice, so is Libertarianism.

“Libertarianism is rooted in a philosophy of natural rights that inhere in individuals, not groups. By calling them natural, we mean that they antecede legal pronouncements made by those in governments. They are not created by government. They are encoded by government and sometimes protected by government. But what a government gives, it can take back. There’s an old saying: any government powerful enough to give you whatever you want is also powerful enough to take away everything you have. This means that if we subscribe to the doctrine that government is somehow a necessary evil, its being a necessary evil means keeping it on a very short leash: hence, the idea of limited government.

I fail to see why this must be at odds with Christianity. If anything, it complements a Christian theist’s worldview. A Christian libertarian contends that rights originate not with anything essential to human beings, such as their (fallen and fallible) capacity for reason, but from God. This view has considerably more intellectual power. Most libertarians (following Ayn Rand on one of the points where she was entirely correct) stress the need for a metaphysical philosophy incorporating the idea of an objective reality capable of being known by us, at least in part. But why should anyone believe this? Through experience? What is this ‘experience’? Isn’t it very different for different people?”
